As part of our Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Topic, P2/3 were learning about Hanukkah. P2/3 had asked questions such as what is Hanukkah, Who celebrates it and what do they do for Hanukkah? We watched a video about the celebration and read stories. During Activity Based Learning, we got to make the 9 candle Hanukkah menorah using our handprints, experience playing dreidel, make and design our own dreidel, make a star of David using lollypop sticks and compare and contrast Hanukkah with Christmas using a Venn diagram.
