Odd Sock Day POWER FOR GOOD
This week, our school joined thousands across the country to celebrate Anti-Bullying Week 2025, embracing the theme “Power for Good.” The focus was on understanding how each of us can use our voice and actions to make a positive difference.
To kick things off, we took part in Odd Socks Day! Pupils wore odd socks to celebrate individuality and remind us that our differences make us unique and valuable. It was a fun and colourful way to show that everyone is welcome and respected.
We explored the official Anti-Bullying Alliance resources. Together, we discussed:
- What bullying is and how it affects people.
- Why our voices matter and how speaking up can help stop bullying.
- How kindness can be our superpower to create a safe and supportive environment.
Pupils shared brilliant ideas on how to use kindness as a “Power for Good.” Suggestions included:
- Offering help to someone who feels left out.
- Complimenting others to boost confidence.
- Standing up for friends and classmates in a respectful way.
- Spreading positivity through words and actions.
This week reminded us that even small acts of kindness can have a big impact. By valuing each other’s differences and using our voices for good, we can make our school a place where everyone feels safe, respected, and happy.
