We went outside and worked in groups to explore nature and use what we found to make repeating patterns. We used leaves, sticks, stones, and other natural materials to create patterns that repeat in a sequence.
Some of us extended our learning by using natural materials to make 2D shapes like circles, triangles, squares and rectangles. We had to think carefully about the sides and corners of each shape and how to place the materials to show them clearly.
We learned:

- How to recognise and build 2D shapes
- How to work together and use nature creatively
