This week, pupils explored the concept of symmetry, focusing on lines of symmetry and creating symmetrical patterns.
Pupils used peg boards to design symmetrical patterns, ensuring both sides of the line of symmetry matched. They worked with Numicon shape boards to create balanced and mirrored arrangements, reinforcing their understanding of symmetry in shapes and numbers. We played the Topmarks Symmetrical Pattern Matching Game, which helped pupils identify and complete symmetrical designs in an interactive and engaging way.
