This week, we explored the exciting world of fireworks through Talk for Writing! We created colourful firework prints using paint and glitter, and made our own paper rockets. We thought carefully about the sounds fireworks make – like bang, whoosh, and crackle – and used these to inspire our very own firework poems. We performed our poems with loud voices and expressive actions, using exclamation marks to help us shout out the exciting words. It was a fun and creative way to learn about poetry, sounds, and punctuation!
