Today in Forest school, P1 and P2 made fat balls for our winter birds. We mixed together lard, seeds, nuts and cereal. We rolled them into balls. It was squishy and lumpy. We watched and listened out carefully for any birds that were on the Trail. We saw a little robin and a sparrow. They were watching us. We looked carefully in the forest for special places to put our fat balls. We decided high up in the branches was a good place for the birds to find the tasty treats.
